
Philip O. Johnson, CFP®
President
Phil is President of Johnson Financial Advisors and has been involved in financial services since 1976. Over the years, he has been honored as one of the nation’s best financial advisers.1 A popular speaker and writer on the subject of money management, Phil has been featured in USA Today, the Washington Post, Worth, Money Magazine, the Arizona Republic and the Arizona Business Gazette.
Phil has served on the national board of the Institute of Certified Financial Planners and as President of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP), Greater Phoenix Chapter. He is also a member of the Financial Planning Association and is a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.
Not only was Phil born in Phoenix, but he is a fifth-generation Arizonan and is very committed to community and civic causes. He does fundraising for scouting and college scholarship programs and encourages parents to teach money skills to their children at a young age. When families cannot afford a financial advisor, he frequently donates his time and expertise.
Phil and his wife, Lynn, are active in their church and enjoy time with their children and grandchildren.

Lynn Johnson, CFP®
Vice President
Married to Phil Johnson, Lynn has been involved in the business since its beginnings and earned her CFP designation in 1991. She is active in community causes and is frequently asked to speak regarding money management and the importance of women becoming financially literate. Passionate about philanthropy, Lynn encourages individuals and families to support worthy causes and to consider charitable gifts when doing estate planning.
In 2007 she co-founded “Project Uplift” which brings reading volunteers into the classroom at a Phoenix elementary school for immigrant, African refugee, and homeless families. She has also been a major fundraiser for the Heritage Foundation in her hometown of Snowflake, Arizona.
Her proudest achievement, however, is a growing family of four children and eight grandchildren. In 2005, Lynn was selected as Arizona Mother of the Year and she continues to support and mentor mothers through the American Mother’s Inc. organization.
Marcus F. Johnson
Vice President - Investment Operations
Marcus F. Johnson is an investment analyst for Johnson Financial. He is Series 7 licensed and is actively pursuing his CFP® designation. Marcus is alumni of Brigham Young University where he graduated in Finance from the Marriott School of Management.
Marcus has a wide variety of experience having worked in the offices of Beneficial Life Financial Group and the US House of Representatives. While his expertise is finance, Marcus has a broad view of management having worked in the HR, IT, and marketing departments for other corporate organizations. In his two-year service as a missionary for the LDS Church in Mexico, Veracruz he became fluent in Spanish and served as a financial administrator for 220 missionaries.
Marcus is active in his church and community and has been involved with the Boy Scouts of America and the American Cancer Society.

Debra Tyer
Office Manager
We are pleased to welcome Debra Tyer to the team at JFA! Debra originally hails from Sioux City, Iowa and has over fifteen years of client service experience in the securities industry. She looks forward to getting to know each of our clients in the coming year and assisting them in any way.
As the mother of two children—a college-age daughter, and a son who is currently serving in the military—Debra also enjoys sports, music, ballet, and plays. Early in her career she received training as a legal secretary, and that attention to detail has paid off. Debra is responsible for setting up all new investment accounts, IRA and 401(k) rollovers, and retirement distributions from qualified plans. “I enjoy the staff at Johnson Financial Advisors,” she says, “and am proud to work with exceptional professionals.”

Ray Paquette
Customer Relations
Ray is a transplanted New Englander and has been in the Valley of the Sun since 1997. His professional background includes over 25 years of banking and 10 years as a Registered Representative. His banking experience was primarily in Mutual Savings Banks in the state of Maine. Throughout that part of his career, he served in various capacities, including Branch Manager, Loan Officer, Loan Servicing Manager, and Compliance Officer. He was an affiliate member of the Kennebec Valley Maine Board of Realtors and is a former Chairman of the Augusta Maine Housing Authority.
Ray formally entered the securities industry in 1999. He is a Registered Representative, holding Series 7 and Series 63 designations. His business experience and expertise help support client services and operations for Johnson Financial Advisors. He is a resident of Phoenix, where he enjoys his home life with his pet cockatiels, Baby and Max. He also appreciates every opportunity to explore the great State of Arizona, its natural beauty, and its culture.
